Pricing and specification details for the next-generation version of Renault’s best-selling model in Australia, the Master van, have been confirmed ahead of local showroom arrivals next month.
Priced from $55,990 before on-road costs, the 2026 Renault Master – which debuted in Europe two-and-a-half years ago – features electric power for the first time in Australia, along with an upgraded diesel.
The new-generation Master, replacing the outgoing model that dates back to 2010, will be offered in medium- and long-wheelbase front-wheel-drive configurations in Australia, with a standard-height roof.
An optional high roof is also available for the long-wheelbase diesel model.

The Master will remain Australia’s only full-size commercial van to offer a manual transmission, as the Ford Transit, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, LDV Deliver 9, Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer and Volkswagen Crafter are now automatic-only.
Diesel models feature a new 125kW/380Nm 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder matched with a six-speed manual or a nine-speed torque-converter automatic, replacing the outgoing 2.3-litre turbo-diesel with a conventional manual or an automated manual transmission (AMT).
It has been certified to the Euro 6 emission standards, mandatory for ‘heavy vehicles’ in Australia since November 2025, and now requires AdBlue diesel fuel additive to clean up tailpipe emissions, with a 20-litre tank.
The Master E-Tech electric van – starting from $77,990 – adds an 87kWh high-voltage lithium-ion battery and a 105kW/300Nm front motor, along with Google built-in services for its infotainment system.

Renault claims its 409-kilometre WLTP driving range rating is “one of the longest driving ranges in the electric large van segment”, ahead of the Mercedes-Benz eSprinter (359km), Ford E-Transit (295-307km) and LDV eDeliver 9 (280km).
All grades include a larger 10-inch infotainment touchscreen, up from seven inches, with wireless and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Renault Australia general manager Glen Sealey said the new-generation Master van is a “key part” of the brand’s “model revitalisation”.
