Kia Tasman gets bonus accessories to spur on sales

Kia has introduced a free accessory pack on dual-cab pick-up versions of the Tasman ute, except the fleet-focused base models.

The Kia Tasman is now available with a free accessory bundle that addresses some of the ute’s equipment shortcomings.

The complimentary accessory pack offer is available on the dual-cab pick-up versions of the Tasman SX, SX+, X-Line and X-Pro.

The most fleet-oriented Tasman S 4×2 and Tasman S 4×4 are excluded from the offer.

The pack consists of a tow bar, tubular side steps, and a soft tonneau cover.

Regular retail pricing for the three accessories, including fitting, comes to $3144.

The added accessories address equipment gaps on the Tasman range, with no tow bar or side steps fitted as standard on any Tasman model, despite their inclusion on rivals.

Kia is running the accessory promotion while stocks last on new and demonstrator Tasman pick-ups currently in stock. No end date for the promotion has been published.

Separate offers on the entry-level Tasman S have seen discounted drive-way pricing applied to incentive sales.

Kia officially launched the Tasman in August 2025, and to the end of last year had sold 4196 units.

At launch Kia said it would aim to deliver 10,000 Tasmans in 2025 and 20,000 in 2026

Shortly after announcing pre-on-road cost list pricing, Kia unveiled drive-away pricing across the range.

Kia has also introduced discount offers and accessory packs previously on select models to help the new model get a foothold in Australia’s fiercely competitive ute market.

Kia averaged 839 sales per month over the Tasman’s five months on sale, with a staggered release that saw some variants arrive after the initial launch.

By comparison, Australia’s most popular ute, the Ford Ranger, managed a run rate of just under 4713 vehicles per month, averaged out over the year in 2025.
