Lamborghini Temerario due in Australia in first half of 2026 priced over $600,000

The Huracan successor is poised to arrive in Australian showrooms in the first half of 2026 and will be positioned higher than its Huracan its predecessor.

Lamborghini’s newest model, the Temerario, still has more than 12 months to go before it arrives in Australian showrooms, but its more advanced plug-in hybrid V8 powertrain has already pushed its asking price beyond the Huracan.

Pricing for the Temerario kicks off from $614,000 before on-road costs, making it $229,813 more expensive than the entry-level Evo RWD version of the Huracan model it replaces.

In fact, the Temerario is more expensive than any existing Huracan variant, including the $596,000 STO, and is positioned above the Ferrari 296 GTB ($568,300), McLaren 750S ($585,800), and Porsche 911 Turbo S ($538,700).

But the price rise also comes with a lift in performance, as the Temerario replaces the Huracan’s 5.2-litre V10 (capable of up to 470kW/600Nm) with a plug-in hybrid twin-turbo V8 that punches out a combined 676kW that enables a zero-to-100km/h acceleration run in just 2.7 seconds.

While pricing is locked in, local specification and options are still unclear, and Lamborghini’s Asia Pacific Director, Francesco Scardaoni, told Drive further variants are still too far away to talk about.

“The Temerario will be available in Australia most likely [in the] first half of 2026,” he said.

“We just launched the car now so we’re focused on the worldwide launch and the road show that we’re planning in every country, including Asia Pacific. We are targeting to have the Temerario here early next year to do the official Australian launch.

“[As for] the derivatives, there’s plenty of time [before customers can expect additional models],” he told Drive.

The Temerario is Lamborghini’s third hybrid model with the Revuelto previously announced in 2023 and the Urus SE hybrid due to arrive in Australian showrooms sometime next year.

As previously reported by Drive, the V8 engine is paired with a plug-in hybrid system that utilises three electric motors – two of which power the front wheels when the electric mode is engaged, making this the first front-drive Lamborghini.

Despite the luxury brand not disclosing the maximum range, judging by the 3.8kWh battery and hybrid system it shares with the Revuelto, the Temerario could drive up to 10 kilometres when using the electric function.
