2023 Kia Carnival recalled due to risk of engine stall
The Kia Carnival diesel has been recalled due a potential loss of power, which could cause the engine to stall.
Kia Australia has recalled 627 examples of its 2023 Kia Carnival 2.2-litre diesel due to a faulty wiring harness which could cause a loss of motion and/or power from the engine.
The affected vehicles are stamped (and were sold in) 2023.
The recall notice, lodged with the Department of Infrastructure, says: “Due to incorrect manufacturing of an engine wiring harness, a poor
connection may occur at the crankshaft position sensor which may lead to a loss of motive power and/or engine stalling.

Kia advises owners of affected vehicles to immediately contact their preferred Kia dealer to schedule an appointment to have the multi-function switch software updated, free of charge.
