2023 LDV T60 Max price and specs: Prices up by more than $4000
The LDV T60 has been hit with its second major price rise in 12 months to account for new equipment – but the ute still lacks key advanced safety tech.

- Only top 10 dual-cab ute without auto emergency braking
- Priced from $38,990 drive-away for ABN holders
The updated 2023 LDV T60 Max has arrived in Australia with a $4000 price rise and some equipment upgrades – but it still lacks advanced safety technology which is standard in its rivals.
LDV Australia has announced the T60 Max 4×4 ute has undergone a handful of tweaks for 2023 after its major facelift (and $5000 price hike) last year – resulting in a price increase of $4000 across the range for buyers with an ABN.
But Australia’s ninth best-selling ute continues to forgo advanced safety tech such as forward collision warning, blind-spot monitoring and autonomous emergency braking – making the T60 the the only dual-cab in the top 10 sales to miss out on the latter feature.
The 2023 LDV T60 Max will now be priced from $41,042 drive-away for private buyers, or $38,990 drive-away with an ABN in its cheapest Pro manual guise – an increase of $4210 for private buyers and a $4000 hike for ABN holders.
Prices have risen by $4000 for ABN holders across all other variants, with the Pro automatic now starting from $40,990 drive-away, while the Lux manual and automatic are priced from $43,490 and $45,490 drive-away, respectively.
This is in addition to a price rise introduced across the T60 range in February – attributed to rising material costs – of $1000 for ABN holders, or $1052-$1053 for those without an ABN.
LDV’s price list also includes the return of the T60 Mega Tub for the first time since the ute’s facelift last year – priced from $46,990 drive-away for ABN holders, or $49,463 drive-away for private buyers – although the car-maker is yet to release details of its flagship variant.
As reported earlier this week with the launch of the LDV Mifa, the updated T60 Max will now be offered with an extended seven-year/200,000-kilometre warranty – superseding the existing five-year/130,000km coverage.
For 2023, the LDV T60 Max Pro grades will now be equipped with newly-designed wide side steps, a chrome sports bar and roof rails, a soft release tailgate and an updated leather steering wheel with (on automatic models) paddle shifters.
The updated LDV T60 Max Luxe is also fitted with the new steering wheel and soft-release tailgate, as well as unique additions such as body-coloured door mirrors, black wheel arch flares, side steps, roof rails and a sail-plane sports bar, plus 19-inch black alloy wheels with Continental tyres – carried across from the pre-facelift T60 Trailrider.
According to LDV, the new T60 Max Pro additions are worth $2600 – still $1400 short of the $4000 price hike. However, it claims the Luxe’s new features are worth $5000 extra.
The LDV T60 Max remains Australia’s most powerful four-cylinder ute, with its 2.0-litre twin-turbo four-cylinder diesel engine developing 160kW and 500Nm – more than the new bi-turbo Ford Ranger (154kW/500Nm) and 2.8-litre Toyota HiLux (150kW/500Nm).
Drive is sent to the wheels through a choice of six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmissions, which are both mated to a switchable four-wheel-drive system with two-wheel-drive high, four-wheel-drive high and four-wheel-drive low-range modes.
LDV claims the T60 Max returns a combined fuel consumption of 9.2L/100km with the six-speed manual or 9.3L/100km with the eight-speed automatic.
The LDV T60 Max can tow up to 3000kg braked, with payload capacities ranging from 935kg in the Pro to 750kg in the Luxe.
All T60 Max tubs are equipped with spray-in liners and four tie-down points as standard.
According to LDV, the T60 Max’s suspension has been “specifically calibrated for Australian conditions”, with the Pro getting a ‘heavy duty’ setup while the Luxe is aimed at delivering comfort.
As previously mentioned, the LDV T60 Max is not equipped with advanced safety technology such as forward collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist and autonomous emergency braking.
Standard safety features include six airbags, electronic brake assist, and electronic brake force distribution, hill descent control, a driver fatigue monitoring system, lane departure warning and a 360-degree camera.
Blind-spot monitoring was available on the pre-2021 T60, but was removed for the T60 Max launched in 2021.
The 2023 LDV T60 Max is on sale now.
