Porsche Taycan electric vehicle to be recalled globally – report

Porsche is preparing to recall its 2021 Porsche Taycan electric sedan globally, according to a new report from Bloomberg citing insiders “familiar with the matter.” An alleged software fault could potentially cause the battery to disengage without warning, causing “loss of motive power while in motion at any speed.” The report notes there have been no known accidents or injuries caused by the fault to date.
