Australia's first wrecked Porsche Taycan? $200k electric car crashes in Melbourne

A 2021 Porsche Taycan 4S has wrecked on Melbourne's iconic St Kilda Road boulevard, less than three months after it was first registered. It's understood the electric Taycan attempted to make a u-turn in front of an electric tram near the Toorak Road junction, causing significant damage to the Porsche. While the battery-powered Taycan weighs around 2245kg unladen, a Melbourne tram can weigh up to 50,000kg.
