2022 Ford Ranger Raptor to get twin-turbo V6 petrol in the US, Australia could get turbo diesel V6 – report

There has been further speculation the 2022 Ford Ranger Raptor will be powered by a twin-turbo petrol V6 borrowed from the high-performance Ford Explorer ST and paired to a 10-speed auto. The latest report comes via enthusiast website Ford Authority, which claims to have based the information on sources familiar with the next-generation Ford Ranger. However, it remains unclear if the twin-turbo petrol V6 engine is for the US market only, which favours petrol over diesel for compact pick-ups.

The new flagship of the Toyota HiLux range was caught on camera in Thailand late last year wearing little disguise. Now we have created an artist impression of what it could look like. Last month we got our first look at a camouflaged version of the 2023 Toyota HiLux GR Sport , the flagship ute set to replace the range-topping Toyota HiLux Rugged X in Australian showrooms later this year.
