GWM Wey Tank 300 Cybertank: Concept off-roader set for Shanghai reveal

The Tank 300 Cybertank concept – which appears to be heavily inspired by boxy off-roaders including the Mercedes-Benz G-Class – is set to be unveiled at this week’s Shanghai motor show. Built by GWM’s luxury subsidiary Wey, the Cybertank is reportedly underpinned by mechanicals from the existing Haval Tank 300 production SUV. However, it picks up aggressive exterior styling enhancements, roof-mounted solar panels, roof rails, a square spare tyre cover, and an exterior body kit.

Thai media outlets including Headlight Magazine report Mitsubishi has sent invites to local media for the new Triton’s unveiling in Bangkok on 26 July 2023. Drive has previously reported on a global unveiling around the middle of this year, ahead of showroom arrivals due late this year or early next year. The design of the new Triton was previewed by the XRT Concept shown in Thailand earlier this year , with a larger body and tray than today’s model. The new flagship of the Toyota HiLux range was caught on camera in Thailand late last year wearing little disguise. Now we have created an artist impression of what it could look like. Last month we got our first look at a camouflaged version of the 2023 Toyota HiLux GR Sport , the flagship ute set to replace the range-topping Toyota HiLux Rugged X in Australian showrooms later this year. Now we have an artist impression of the 2023 Toyota HiLux GR Sport (pictured above) that aims to remove some of the camouflage of the test vehicle caught on camera in Thailand mid-December 2022.
