Tesla to recall 12,300 examples of its Model X with moulding defect – report

Tesla will be required to recall 12,300 examples of its Model X SUV worldwide, according the German national vehicle authority KBA. The agency claims affected Model X vehicles – which were built from 2015 to 2016 – suffer from a potentially-dangerous moulding defect, which could lead to components detaching while in operation. It is unclear how many Australian vehicles are potentially affected by the fault, as Tesla does not report its annual sales figures through VFACTS.
