Tesla drops price of Model 3 and Model Y overseas, Australian RRPs unchanged

Tesla has cut pricing for its entry-level Model 3 sedan and Model Y compact SUV in the United States, Europe and Asia, however the RRP in Australia remains unchanged for now. The electric vehicle specialist’s US website now lists the Model 3 Standard Range Plus from US$36,990 (AU$47,600), down US$1000 from US$37,990 last week. This brings the Standard Range Plus under US$30,000 (AU$38,600) for the first time, once state and federal government subsidies are taken into account.
