Takata airbag crisis: Motorists urged to get their cars fixed to prevent registration cancellations

Car owners are being urged to check the Takata recall status of their vehicles or risk having their cars forced off the road by state and territory government legislation. Faulty Takata airbags that can kill or seriously injure occupants have affected 3.06 million cars in Australia, forcing a mass recall that is now, according to the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries, 99.9 per cent complete.
