2020 BMW X5, X6, and X7 recalled with welding fault

BMW Australia has recalled 14 cars – across three SUV models – citing a potential fault with the axle welds. The affected models are X5, X6, and X7 SUVs, all of which were sold between 1 May 2020 and 31 October 2020, with all affected examples stamped Model Year 2020. The recall notice, lodged with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), says "due to a fault in the welding process, a weld seam on the front axle was not welded properly."
