BMW Australia has issued a recall of 48 examples of the 2019-20 (MY19-20) X3 and X4 due to a potential fault with the seat belt fittings. The recall notice, lodged with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), says the seat belts may not have been screwed to the correct specification. Affected BMW X3 and X4 SUVs were sold between 6 December 2019 and 5 August 2020. BMW Australia has been contacted and this story will be updated with its response.
