1971 Ford Falcon GTHO Phase III sells for $400,000: 'attacked with an axe, no engine, bring trailer'

A 1971 Ford Falcon GTHO Phase III left to rot in a shed for decades – missing an engine and had been attacked with an axe – sold for a mind-boggling $400,000 at auction at the weekend. Bidding on Grays Online passed $200,000 within 24 hours of the undriveable vehicle being listed last week, but it was passed in on the weekend once bids reached $350,000, having not met its reserve price. However, negotiations after the auction saw the battered and bruised muscle car change hands for $400,000.

Chinese electric-car giant BYD’s next two models for Australia – the city-sized Dolphin and larger Seal – are due closer to the end of this year than previously forecast. A major update for the world’s best-selling new car is around the corner, with “more obvious” exterior and interior upgrades. What the updated Model Y could look like, illustrated by Theottle. A facelift for the 2024 Tesla Model Y electric SUV may be less than nine months away – after a similar update to the related Model 3 sedan earlier this year – according to a new report. News agency Bloomberg reports Tesla has begun “preparation work” to ready its Shanghai, China factory for a “more obvious” exterior and interior update to the Model Y . Thai media outlets including Headlight Magazine report Mitsubishi has sent invites to local media for the new Triton’s unveiling in Bangkok on 26 July 2023.
