The modern Volkswagen Kombi – the California Beach camper – has sold out in one day despite an $82,990 price, as Australians prepare to holiday at home in the wake of the coronavirus crisis. And the eager buyers won’t take delivery of their new camper van until later this year due to production delays caused by COVID-19 lockdowns.

A facelift for the 2024 Tesla Model Y electric SUV may be less than nine months away – after a similar update to the related Model 3 sedan earlier this year – according to a new report. News agency Bloomberg reports Tesla has begun “preparation work” to ready its Shanghai, China factory for a “more obvious” exterior and interior update to the Model Y . Thai media outlets including Headlight Magazine report Mitsubishi has sent invites to local media for the new Triton’s unveiling in Bangkok on 26 July 2023. Drive has previously reported on a global unveiling around the middle of this year, ahead of showroom arrivals due late this year or early next year.
