Project Cars: 1985 Toyota 4Runner SR5

Meet Ralph the Runner. So, after telling myself I'll make a sensible decision, sell my 35-year-old Toyota HiLux and buy a new-ish 4WD, I went and bought a 35-year-old Toyota 4Runner. Yep, I'm an idiot. But, this thing is way cooler than anything else I could have bought, and with only one owner, and 187,000km on the clock, I just couldn't pass it up. Unlike previous my 15-owner HiLux, this thing is in as original condition as you can get, and I'll try my best to keep it that way.

A high-school teacher in the US could be more than $6000 out of pocket if he is found to have violated the terms of use of a rented Toyota Supra driven to a top speed record. A major update for the world’s best-selling new car is around the corner, with “more obvious” exterior and interior upgrades. What the updated Model Y could look like, illustrated by Theottle. A facelift for the 2024 Tesla Model Y electric SUV may be less than nine months away – after a similar update to the related Model 3 sedan earlier this year – according to a new report. News agency Bloomberg reports Tesla has begun “preparation work” to ready its Shanghai, China factory for a “more obvious” exterior and interior update to the Model Y . Production “may start as soon as mid-2024”, according to the outlet – which could translate to Australian showroom arrivals by the end of next year, if the arrival timeline of the recent Model 3 update is a guide. Thai media outlets including Headlight Magazine report Mitsubishi has sent invites to local media for the new Triton’s unveiling in Bangkok on 26 July 2023. Drive has previously reported on a global unveiling around the middle of this year, ahead of showroom arrivals due late this year or early next year. The design of the new Triton was previewed by the XRT Concept shown in Thailand earlier this year , with a larger body and tray than today’s model.
