Hyundai i30 and Elantra recalled for fire risk, nearly 90,000 cars included

Hyundai Australia has issued a recall of 87,499 of its 2007-2011 model-year i30 hatchback (shown above) and 2006-2011 Elantra small sedan (shown below) due to a defective circuit board that may increase risk of fire, with two known fires reported on Australian i30 cars. This recall follows the same fire hazard affecting 9393 examples of Hyundai's 2006 to 2009 model year Santa Fe SUVs, as reported by CarAdvice last week.
