2020 Volkswagen Passat pricing and specs

The updated 2020 Volkswagen Passat is now on sale in Australia, arriving this month in solitary 140TSI Business form – after delays kept it from reaching us sooner. That's a new variant name, and a new engine designation for the Passat, too. The familiar 132kW/250Nm 1.8-litre turbo petrol 132TSI has been replaced, as expected, by a new 2.0-litre turbo petrol unit offering 140kW (hence the name) and a big hop to 320Nm.

A facelift for the 2024 Tesla Model Y electric SUV may be less than nine months away – after a similar update to the related Model 3 sedan earlier this year – according to a new report. News agency Bloomberg reports Tesla has begun “preparation work” to ready its Shanghai, China factory for a “more obvious” exterior and interior update to the Model Y . Production “may start as soon as mid-2024”, according to the outlet – which could translate to Australian showroom arrivals by the end of next year, if the arrival timeline of the recent Model 3 update is a guide. Thai media outlets including Headlight Magazine report Mitsubishi has sent invites to local media for the new Triton’s unveiling in Bangkok on 26 July 2023. Drive has previously reported on a global unveiling around the middle of this year, ahead of showroom arrivals due late this year or early next year. The design of the new Triton was previewed by the XRT Concept shown in Thailand earlier this year , with a larger body and tray than today’s model.
