Design Review: Pontiac Club de Mer (1956)

It's no secret we enjoy featuring old American automobiles in this Design Review series - especially futuristic prototypes designed to impress and inspire. A good example is the Pontiac Club de Mer that was unveiled at the 1956 Motorama - an annual show held by General Motors. The goal of the prototype was to show that Pontiac could produce sporty vehicles, breaking away from its past and rushing headlong into a new era.
