Jaguar Land Rover to use BMW front-drive platform for small crossovers - report

Jaguar Land Rover is reportedly continuing partnership discussions with BMW, which could see the British automaker sourcing engine and platform technology from the German company. According to a report from Autocar, the BMW FAAR/UKL2 architecture underpinning the Mini Countryman, BMW 1 Series hatch, X1 and X2, could be used on a new set of smaller crossover vehicles. FAAR could be used for a Jaguar crossover and high-riding coupe to slot beneath today's E-Pace.
