BMW initiates Takata recall for 2000-03 5 Series, X5

BMW Australia has issued a recall notice for the 2000-2003 model-year 5 Series and X5 as part of the ongoing Takata airbag recall. The Bavarian marque reports 'some' of the 3391 affected units may have received an affected Takata inflator as part of a "steering wheel conversion during the life of the vehicle".

A facelift for the 2024 Tesla Model Y electric SUV may be less than nine months away – after a similar update to the related Model 3 sedan earlier this year – according to a new report. News agency Bloomberg reports Tesla has begun “preparation work” to ready its Shanghai, China factory for a “more obvious” exterior and interior update to the Model Y . Thai media outlets including Headlight Magazine report Mitsubishi has sent invites to local media for the new Triton’s unveiling in Bangkok on 26 July 2023. Drive has previously reported on a global unveiling around the middle of this year, ahead of showroom arrivals due late this year or early next year. The design of the new Triton was previewed by the XRT Concept shown in Thailand earlier this year , with a larger body and tray than today’s model.
