Mercedes-Benz C300 Hybrid, C350e recalled

Mercedes-Benz Australia has issued a recall for the C300 BlueTec Hybrid and C350e plug-in hybrid due to a wiring issue. The German luxury marque reports the diesel-electric and petrol-electric (respectively) variants could have an incorrectly-routed electric line in the engine bay, which could chafe on a reinforcement strut while the vehicle is being operated. If the condition occurs, the chafing line could cause a short circuit and start a fire, posing a hazard to occupants of the vehicle.
