BMW X5 (E53) recalled

The first-generation (E53) BMW X5 has been recalled, over concerns the front airbags could randomly activate. According to the company, a mismatch of software and hardware within the airbag control could activate the front airbags while parking the car. There's a risk the airbags could injure occupants if they randomly activate. A total of 781 units are affected – a VIN list is attached here.
