Kalashnikov CV-1: Russia's answer to Tesla revealed

The all-electric Kalashnikov CV-1 has been revealed at an event in Moscow, touted as Russia's rival to the Tesla Model S. Kalashnikov, known for producing firearms and military equipment – including the AK-47 – has designed the electric "supercar" to look like a 1970s Soviet hatchback. According to reports overseas, Kalashnikov claims an all-electric range of 220 miles (350km) from the CV-1's 90kWh battery pack, and says it can accelerate to 100km/h in around 6.0 seconds.
